Our love for the fascinating world of piano playing began in childhood and has driven us to become professional pianists, educators, and lifelong enthusiasts.

Our journey has taken us from Japan to the U.S., through Europe, where we embraced diverse teaching styles and cultural influences in piano playing.

As concert pianists, we hold bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance and have earned awards in international piano competitions. Our professional adventures include studying at the Heidelberg-Mannheim State University of Music in Germany and receiving private instruction from world-renowned pianists such as Hans Graf in Vienna, Austria, and Nicole Henriot-Schweitzer and Gaby Casadesus in Paris, France. We’ve performed internationally, including in Japan, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Portugal, Monte-Carlo, and the United States.

Drawing from our early learning, professional training, and international performance experiences, we’ve developed a fun and interactive approach to teaching. At Greendog Piano Studio, we provide piano lessons for kids, adults, beginners, and all levels, both in Rockville, Potomac, College Park, and online.
